Mary Baker Eddy Exhibit at the Dallas Public Library

Photo Gallery

From July 24 to September 28, 2000, an exhibit about Mary Baker Eddy was on display at the Dallas Public Library (driving directions to the Dallas Public Library).

The welcoming sign explained: "This exhibit was developed in conjunction with the National Park Service and displayed at the Women's Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls, New York, as part of a celebration to commemorate 150 years of progress in women's rights."

Here's how it looked:

As you stepped out of the elevator lobby and looked to the right, this is what you saw.
This proclamation by George Bush, the state governor, welcomed the exhibit to Texas.
The video kiosk showed information about the life and works of Mary Baker Eddy and The Christian Science Monitor (the newspaper she founded). The panels on the left had more information about the Monitor.
A picture of Mary Baker Eddy.
These panels explored some of the ideas Mary Baker Eddy shared in her writings, including her principal work, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
The backside of the previous panels, which contained more ideas from the writings of Mary Baker Eddy.
The exhibit from the far side (opposite the elevator "entrance" area). The service desk for this floor of the library is straight ahead on the right.
This is the rear of the video kiosk section. Note the telephones on which to listen to healings.
This panel had information about The Christian Science Monitor, which Mrs. Eddy founded at the age of 87. It is an international daily newspaper which has won six Pulitzer prizes so far.
